Neo-Natal Intensive Care

New construction included updates and renovations in the existing medical center. The work continued in the active, occupied hospital without interruption to hospital and patient services, so the project was carried out in three phases.

Intensive Care Unit
Complete tenant improvement of the 20,000SF, 20 bed facility with all the special medical infrastructure on the 2nd floor of Building E, and a sky bridge from the ICU from the existing building. Managing, controlling and maintaining adjacent existing healthcare service environments during the construction of the ICU presented significant technical and coordination challenges. Detailed disruption plans were prepared and submitted and all work was accomplished with the medical center in full operations.

Alaska Heart Institute
Tenant improvement remodel for the Alaska Heart Institute with anticipated completion

Anchorage Fracture and Orthopedic Clinic
Cornerstone has completed multiple projects for the Anchorage Fracture and Orthopedic Clinic over the last 8 years. Construction efforts for the clinic have included over 21,000 SF of tenant improvements to include medical offices, exam rooms, labs, x-ray rooms, and patient services areas. Work has included metal framing and drywall, mechanical , electrical, fire protection, interior finishes, and furnishings.

Childrens’ Hospital

This project involved converting existing hospital space to an innovative and state-of-the-art pediatrics treatment facility. The project was divided into 4 phases to keep patient and occupant services fully functioning throughout construction.

The construction work included demolition of existing patient care areas and construction of new pediatric patient treatment space as well as installation of numerous specialty items, unique finishes, and highly sophisticated mechanical and electrical, and communications systems.
