University of Alaska - Integrated Science Building
Construction scheduled to begin in spring 2007   Proposed completion is late summer 2009

As Construction Manager @ Risk, Cornerstone is providing pre-construction services for this large, innovative project which is currently in final design phase. Design should be complete in mid-winter 2007, and construction is scheduled to begin in spring 2007. With the projected fall 2009 opening of this facility, UAA will provide a cutting edge teaching, learning and research facility for its faculty and students. The new 120,000 sf building will house science and computer labs, classrooms, administrative offices, a lecture auditorium and a plantetarium with interactive stairways, lobbies and corridors. The new ISB will feature sustainable design solutions to maximize the use of natural daylight throughout the facility and foster a collaborative learning environment. The new facility is located on the campus anchoring a new landscaped “quad” arrangement that enhances the natural features of the site.
